Emberwick began the winter we couldn't find a candle that smelled like a real fireplace instead of a perfume aisle. So we started blending our own — soy wax, cotton wicks, and oils measured out by hand at the kitchen table until the scent was exactly right.
We still pour every candle in small batches, label each jar by hand, and test every new scent for a slow, even burn before it ever reaches the shelf. No shortcuts, no mystery filler — just a candle we'd happily light in our own home.
